AstrumU Forum for Education & Enterprise
The 2023 AstrumU Forum for Education & Enterprise connected thought leaders from education, enterprise, military and government with a DEI focus on career and workforce development that brings the talent to the opportunity.
Historically, we’ve relied on three, static pieces of paper to define an individual: a transcript, a resume and a job description. In order to begin filling the 12 million open recs, we must work together to make the move to skills-based hiring.
The 2023 Forum connected thought leaders from education, enterprise, military and government with a DEI focus on career and workforce development that brings the talent to the opportunity.
Attendees are committed to breaking down workforce barriers through AI and quantitative data that can be leveraged by anyone, but particularly the underserved and underrepresented populations, to answer a simple question: Do I have the necessary skills to succeed in this role, and if not, what can I do about it?
Workforce training can close the gap through certifications, apprenticeships, etc. to upskill individuals into in-demand positions if skills based hiring can be enabled. Using artificial intelligence and data science we can more fully quantify an individual’s learning and working experiences into a richer set of skills.
By transforming an individual from a static 2D-view into a robust 3D-view, we can enable employers to hire based upon skills versus degrees, or other limited signals.
