However, I believe many employers don’t understand how to implement skills-based hiring in a world where we frequently base our sense of qualifications on the degree an individual holds or on information provided on a résumé. When an otherwise qualified candidate lacks a degree, the default has been to dismiss them from consideration. That is becoming increasingly problematic.
